| BenQ-Siemens C81 with the GPS device |

After getting a packet from BenQ-Siemens with my testhandy C81 I wondered that it contained only a headset, charger and a 128MB Mini SD-Card inside. After some moments of disappointment I read the letter where where BenQ-Siemens apologizes that they sent me a handy without a charger etc. .
OK, the sending process seems to be more TCP likely where the order of incomming packets doens’t realy matter. Anyway, the next day I was given a bigger packet from the same guy from DHL who brought me the first packet. And there was my lovely C81, yeah! And there was a lot more stuff inside. Now I could imagine why BenQ-Siemens separated the C81 from the charger. They sent the handy to ActivPilot, a producer of GPS devices, to let them install navigation software.
You’re right, I got a GPS receiver too, cool! So, BenQ-Siemens wants me to test the optional GPS receiver for the C81 handy too. What a great idea I think
A week ago I thought about buying a little GPS receiver to do some Geocaching. But from yesterday on I’m owning a GPS receiver already.
After some hours of finding out how to open the case to insert my SIM card I started to play with the handy. The contrast of the display is good enough to read it outside by shiny weather. It looks good but in my opponion it has too many plastic. The handy is going dusty very quick and the case has lots of scratches already. The worst thing of the C81 are the location and size of the buttons. You have realy some difficulties navigating with the cursor and don’t touch other buttons. You realy have to navigate using your finger nails. For the moment that’s the only negative point after using it 2 days.
