The BIOZ-Syndrom: Or There and Back Again
Publiziert unter: Uni & Studium

Today it happend again: I got victim by the BIOZ-Syndrom. But what happend? Here’s the hole story about it.
I catched the tram at the Universitätsspital station. It was the line 10. Over all I was sure catching line 10! Passing the Irchel station the driver told us to change the tram to go to… . I didn’t focus on the dirver’s spoken content because I was sure to be in the line 10 that brings me directly to the trainstation of Oerlikon. You have to know that some institutes of the University of Zurich are located there. So is mine. Well, after ignoring the driver’s information he drove somewhere else then I intended to. It was the wrong way. Entering a deep and dark tunnel I remarked that I catched line 9. It wasn’t my first time making this fault. But I wasn’t the only student in the subways making this fault :)

But what is the BIOZ-Syndrom all about? This syndrom is about students beeing lost between Binzmühlestrasse, Uni Irchel, Oerlikon and Uni Zentrum. So was I. The university management do some prevention already by providing a so called Shuttle-Bus to students. Students don’t have to find the right path using depth-first or breath-first algorithms anymore to overcome zurich’s jungle.
Well, only one problem remains:

  • Where is the Shuttle-Bus?

I asked other students but I got always the same phantastic stories about a ghost like bus. The ghost like shuttle bus has never been seen. There were only people knowing people that know other people who have seen this bus once. I’m asking if it is real or just some rumor about something inexistent?

I’m looking for people who have seen the bus. Please make a photo of it and send it to me. We need some proofs of the Shuttle Bus existence.
